Peacefully on Jan. 8, 2010, at Macassa Lodge Nursing Home in her 80th year.
Sadly missed by her husband, Patrick. Loving mother to Karen (Angela Casagrande), Sandra (Dave Riddell) and Joanne (Stephen Elioff). Devoted grandma to Matthew, Kate, Michael and Lucas. Survived by her sister, Stella Fortune.
Patricia was a retired teacher with the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic School Board for over 30 years. After retiring she enjoyed volunteering at McMaster Children’s Hospital through the local schools.
Special thanks to Dr. C. Meilke and the A2 staff at Macassa Lodge for all the care and compassion they showed.
Visitation was held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Fennell & Mohawk), Sunday, Jan. 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers were offered at 3:30 p.m. A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Charles Garnier Catholic Church, Monday, Jan. 11 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated.
