RUSK On July 16, 2009 Mr. Lewis Rusk passed away peacefully at the Ridgeview Lodge in Kamloops at 81 years of age. He is survived by his two daughters Sharon Horse of Marshall, SK. and Cindy (Keith) Bradley of Barriere, B.C.; his brother James and his sister Alverda; also remembered by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Vera, son Murray, parents Joseph and Adaline and brothers Millard, Joe, John, Dave and Irwin. Born in Blue Heron, Saskatchewan on August 22, 1927, Lew came to B.C. when he was 21. He married Vera Williams in 1950 and son Murray was born in 1951, daughter Sharon in 1965 and Cindy in 1969. He was a proud member of the IBEW Local 993 in Kamloops for 46 years. He was proud to have worked on BC landmarks such as the W.A.C. Bennett Dam in Hudson Hope, Revelstoke Dam and Mica Creek Dam. Lew was known for always having a smile, joke or a story to tell anyone around. He was there to help family and friends in any way he could. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. A special thanks to all 'his girls' at Ponderosa Lodge and the girls at Ridgeview that he was not able to get to know - he loved you all. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Children's Hospital Foundation, 4480 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC V6H 3V4 in memory of Lewis would be appreciated.
