Derrold Barnes
BARNES, DERROLD H. - (June 5th, 1942 – August 12, 2012) - MOLUS RIVER, NB – Derrold H. Barnes 70, passed away on Sunday, August 12th, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital, Moncton, NB after a short battle with cancer. Born in Upper Main River, NB, he was the son of the late David and Udavilla (Shirley) Barnes. He was a retired pipefitter welder and a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 213, St. Andrew’s Masonic Lodge No. 16F & A.M., a Private in 5 Militia Group Special Training Company and St. Stephen’s United Church. He enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening, watching the Blue Jay’s, the Toronto Maple Leafs and spending time with his beloved cat Toby. Derrold was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife; Carmel (Roberts) Barnes, his daughter; Lesa Lee (Ronnie) Donaher, one step-daughter; Wendy Anne Roberts, two grandchildren; Chelsea Megan and Donovan Ross Tucker, one brother; Garry Barnes and his mother; Udavilla Barnes.
There will be no viewing at Derrold’s request. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Stephen’s United Church, Molus River on Wednesday, August 15th, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Cecil Symes officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
