
Patricia McInnis
CENTRAL CARIBOU – Patricia Marie “Tish” McInnis, 56, of Central Caribou, Pictou County, passed away August 12, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit, New Glasgow.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late William and Vivian “Dunnie” (Murphy) Virtue.
She attended school in Dominion, and was a graduate of MacDonald High School, Class of 1974. After marriage and settling in Pictou County, Tish worked for many years as paint manager at both Hector Building Supplies and Home Hardware in Pictou. She loved her customers and enjoyed helping them with their decorating. She also enjoyed boating, curling, crafts and spoiling the neighborhood kids.
She is survived by her husband, Danny; sons, Craig (Pam), Calgary and Stephen (Tanya), Braeshore; sisters, Vivian (Peter) Cook, Gardiner Mines and Cindy (Darren) Bruckschwaiger, Dominion; many nieces and nephews.
Tish will also be sadly missed by her canine companion, Bear.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral Mass will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou, with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society.
