CONTI (Nee Rigby) We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and loyal friend Gwynneth Yvonne Conti on Monday, July 6, 2009. Born in Leeds, England in 1926, Gwen travelled on the Queen Mary with her family at the age of one to their new home in Canada. She was predeceased by her beloved Darol and son Christopher. Gwen is survived by her children Gerald (Lye), Mark (Donna) and Patricia (Dave); her grandchildren Daniel, Justin, Nicolle, Christina and Chantal. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister Edith (Mike) Basra, and a special friend to the Conti family, Denis Simpson and her friends since childhood Gene Wilson and Betty Grayston. Special thanks to Dr. Baker and Dr. Avanesian and all who showed kindness and compassion to Gwynneth especially those from 3 West at R.I.H. Also a final thanks and hello to the staff and servers of Joey's, White Spot, Earl's and Boston Pizza who served her with kindness and brought a smile to her face. Prayers will be recited on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at the church on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Should friends desire, donations can be made to the R.I.H.
