Bernice Marie McGee

Bernice Marie (nee Peters) McGee, formerly of Parkdale, died peacefully at Andrews of Stratford on Monday, August 13, 2012, in her 99th year. Wife of the late Ernest McGee.
Bernice is the beloved mother of Phil (Lois), Lois MacMillan, Marilyn (Fred) Toombs, Sylvia (George) Sauve, Charles “Butch” (Arleen), Robert (Shirlee), Donna (Dr. Michael) Daley, David (Dr. Donna Hincher), JoAnn (Jim) McQuaid, and Shawn (Cathy) McGee. She is also survived by her in-laws Colleen McGee, Melvin McGee and Denise O’Hanley. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Shawn and Michele McGee, Lisa Clarke, Tamara Miller and Tim Clarke, Rob MacMillan, Michael and Marianne Toombs, Susan and Clive Eastwood, Scott and Christa Harris, Kristyna and Shawn Ethier, Lisa McGee and Casey Worth, Stephen and Hiroko Daly, John and Monica Daly, Trish and Cory Power, Paula McQuaid, Susie McQuaid and Michael Stachniak, Matthew, Emma and Michael McGee; as well as her great-grandchildren Michael McGee, Travis, Kyle and Garrett Miller, Laura and Richard Toombs, Reign and Violette Harris, Samantha Ethier, Mikayla, Hannah and Morgan Daly, Quaid and Reegan Power.
She was predeceased by her son, Michael McGee; son-in-law, Lewis MacMillan; granddaughter, Debbie (MacMillan) Murray; and grandson, Robert McGee.
Bernice was the last surviving member of the Abraham and Josephine Peters family. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Elzere, Arthur (Millie), George (Bernie), Henry (Venie), Reginald, Stella, Pauline (Harry), Camilla (Russ), Louise (Edward) and Yvonne (Jack); as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law, Millie Kelly, Peggy Kimball, Shirley Chalkley, Harry McGee, Sarah Kelly, Herbie McGee, David McGee and Mary Burns.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home for visiting hours on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday with funeral mass from St. Pius X Church at 10 a.m. Interment in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
