Murray Fyfe
Born In: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Born: July 11th, 1950
Murray Fyfe was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on July 11, 1950 to Ross and Helen Fyfe. He was the oldest of 3 other siblings (Howard, Vivian, and Brent). The family moved to Dawson Creek in 1956, from there he attended school. After his schooling he joined the Navy when he was 17 years old. He then surveyed down in Penticton and from there he went to Tumbler Ridge. From there he managed Novues.
He then moved back to Dawson Creek and worked for his father in accounting and then eventually took over his Dad’s business. He later sold the business to Liberty and went gold panning. After a couple of years he started up his business in accounting again.
Murray took pride in how he could deal with the C.R.A. on behalf of his clients.
He cared about his clients books more than he did his own. He didn’t like to go away and on the rare occasion that he did Murray would often call through the day to make sure everything was ok!
Besides taking on the CRA Murray enjoyed a game of golf, animals, particularly dogs, and camping.
Murray was predeceased by his father on July 23, 2007 and his mother on July 17, 1990. He is survived by his brothers Howard (Sally), Brent, and sister Vivian (Larry), nieces Tracey, Lisa, Amanda, Becky, and Nephew Ross. Great nieces Samantha, Morgann, Mackenzi, Kashlin, and great nephew Carter.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 2:00pm at Bergeron Funeral Chapel in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. Peggy Bergeron officiated.
Murray’s urn along with his Mom and Dad’s urns will be interred together in the Brookside cemetery at a later date. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Murray may be made to the ‘British Columbia Heart & Stroke Foundation’
