PARENT, DONALD WILLIAM – Surrounded by his family, the death of Don Parent, husband of Barbara (Mott) Parent on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born on April 11, 1931 in Saint John to the late Floyd and Jennie (Kirkpatrick) Parent. Don worked as an accountant for Lawson Motors and Centennial Pontiac Buick GMC for many years until his retirement. Don was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, Past Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. In years past, he was also a Boy Scout Leader. Besides his wife of 52 years, Barb; Don is survived by his son, Rob Parent of Saint John; daughters: Debbie Parent and Cathy Justason (Rob) both of Saint John and one grandson, Justin.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, August 17, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Rob Nylen officiating. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
