Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, January 11, 2010, Thomas Riggs of Bay de Verde, age 80 years. Predeceased by parents Andrew and Margaret; brothers: Cyril, Daniel and Paul; sisters: Bridget and Julia. Leaving to mourn wife Charlotte; two daughters: Margaret Riggs and Jackie (Gerard) Broderick, both of Bay de Verde; four sons: Alex (Suzanna), Ottawa, ON, Danny, Whitby, ON, Ross (Pete), Toronto, ON and Carl (Karen), Bay de Verde; seven grandchildren: Jonathan, Nicholas, David, Kyle, Shawn (Kathy), Megan and Kevin; two great-grandchildren: Noah and Isabella; one sister Alice Walsh, Bay de Verde; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Bay de Verde, with visitation hours by request of the family Monday, January 11, 7:30 - 10 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Wednesday, January 13, 10 a.m. - 12 noon.
