Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, in the presence of his family on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, Max Piercey, aged 72 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Annie Piercey, brother Jim, and sister Emma. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of 52 years Cynthia (nee Bray); sons: Ken (Carol), Wayne (Sherry), Gary, and Glenn; eleven grandchildren; brother Joe (Theresa); as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Resting at Barrett`s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl, on Thursday, August 16, from 7-9 p.m., and on Friday, August 17, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett`s Funeral Chapel, Commonwealth Ave., on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
