The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, of Alyre J.L. Arsenault, beloved husband of Louise (nee Wedge) of St. Philippe age 88 years. He was the last surviving member of 19 children. He was the son of the late Jack L. and Marianne Arsenault. He leaves to mourn the following children: Jean-Pierre (Anne Thibodeau), Gatineau, Que.; Edward (Judy), St. Philippe; Stephen (friend Kim Campbell), St. Philippe; Gerard (Darlene), Summerside; Teresa (Rick) Marleau, St. Lawrence; Ann (Kevin) Gallant, St. Philippe; Chuck (Rhonda), Richmond; Paul (Martha), Cornwall; Paulette (Joe) Ryan, Sherwood; Arthur (Loretta), Harrington. Also survived by one sister-in-law Evelyn (late Cyrus) Arsenault of Wellington, and 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by daughter-in-law Yvette. He was the founder of the company of A.J.L Contractors Ltd. Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville until Monday morning, Aug. 20, for funeral mass at the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church in Egmont Bay at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. There will be visiting hours at the funeral home on Saturday and Sunday evening from 6-9. Memorial donations made to the Evangeline Funeral Building Fund would be appreciated.
