LINDSAY, REGINALD H. - September 8, 1934 - August 17, 2012 - Reginald H. Lindsay of Woodstock, NB passed away on August 17, 2012 at home with his family. Reg was born at Woodstock, NB on September 8, 1934. Son of the late Herbert William Lindsay (d. Oct. 8/1969) and Sadie Florence Niles (d. July 2/1996). Reg is survived by his wife Marion Ann (Baker) Lindsay. His children Sally Evelyn Crawford and husband Robert of Mactaquac, NB and their children Matthew Crawford of Calgary, Alberta, David & Timothy Crawford of Halifax, NS. Herbert Allan Lindsay and wife Nancy of Bedell, NB and their children Ross Lindsay of Moncton, NB and Jared Lindsay of Fredericton, NB. Also survived by his sisters, Ruth Margaret Haney of Houlton, Maine and Doris Pearl Stairs of Fredericton, NB. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Reg was predeceased by his sisters, Grace Agnes Donovan & Ada Louise Merrithew. Brothers, Lewis John Lindsay & Raymond Herbert Lindsay. Brothers-in-law Quentin Haney, Melbourne Stairs, Joseph Donovan, Gerald Merrithew. Reg was both an entrepreneur and a civil servant during his working career. Reg spent many years serving his community. Including a volunteer with Boys Scouts, Community College, School Board, and Life Line. He served as and Elder in the Presbyterian Church for many years. After retirement Reg enjoyed cottage life at Grand Lake with friends and family as well as winter holidays in Florida. He was a diehard Red Sox fan. However, his major devotion was to His Lord and family.
Visitation from The Culberson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services to be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from The Culberson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Andrew Savill officiating assisted by Mr. Michael Flewelling. Committal service and burial will follow at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. Suggested donations in Memory of Reg are the Trinity Presbyterian Church or the choice of the donor.
