IN LOVING MEMORY PETER MOSTYK 1938 - 2009 Peter Mostyk left us peacefully on June 7, 2009 at the age of 71 years. Peter will forever be remembered by his loving wife of 47 years, Iris (born Kereluke). Proud father of Allen (Louise), Tony (Sherry), Jeff (Kate) and Debra (Terry). Beloved grandfather of Jordan, Blake, Taya (Mostyk) and Bryce and Tevin (Piwek) and step-grandfather to Brooklynn and Mason. Peter leaves in mourning several relatives and friends across Canada especially in Saskatchewan including Marvin and Julie Kereluke. Peter is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Annie Mostyk. Peter was born and raised in Wynyard, SK, where, after marrying his beloved wife Iris in 1962, they started to raise their 4 children. The family relocated to Kamloops, BC in 1968 where for many years, Peter worked in the Afton Mine until its closure in the 1990's. An avid hockey fan, he never missed a Saturday of Hockey Night in Canada. His many passions included cribbage, gardening and many evenings enjoying Music in the Park. Peter will be sadly missed by his family and friends but will always be remembered in our hearts. An open house Celebration of Peter's Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 984 Bebek Rd. in Westsyde. The family requests, that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Kamloops Red Cross or to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home at 72 Whiteshield Cres.
