On May 25, 2009 our loving Jean Doreen McIvor passed away in Kamloops, B.C. Doreen was born in New Westminster, B.C. and then later moved to Prince Rupert with her family. Doreen eventually found permanent residence in Kamloops where she later retired after a lengthy career with the Canadian National Railway. Doreen was well known for her beautiful smile, her very kind heart, wit, and great sense of humour. She had an unconditional love and compassion for animals, travel and more importantly, her family and friends. Any that knew Doreen would agree that she had the ability to make anyone smile and even in the worst situations. Doreen is survived by her loving spouse, William Hubert Mabee (Hugh) of 35 years, her two brothers Charles Paul (Chuck) and John Paul (Gid), her two sisters Catherine Ewasiuk (Kay) and Roberta Giordano. She was predeceased by her loving parents Jack and Ruth Paul (Eva). We would like to thank Dr. Newmarch, all the nurses and staff at 3 South in the Royal Inland Hospital, and the Nurses and staff at the Kamloops Hospice for their care and compassion. Special thanks to all the family and friends that made her stay at the Hospital and Hospice a more comfortable time. A Private Service will be held at a later date.
