The death occurred peacefully, with family at his side, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, on Monday, August 20, 2012, of Arnold Younker, beloved husband of Violet Younker (nee Whitlock), of North Winsloe, age 77.
Arnold was the loving father of Linda Larter (Brendon), Donalda Neill (Raymond), Evelyn Auld (Trent) and Blain; grandfather of Brian (Karen) and Melissa (Jeremy); Justin and Jeremy; and Savannah and Tamara. He is also survived by his sisters, Florence MacQuarrie (Raymond) and Blanch Axworthy; his sisters-in-law, Juretta Younker, Clara Whitlock (Marylee) and Jean Ford (Irwin); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Margaret (Prowse) Younker; his brother, Chester; his sister, Miriam Matheson (Lester); and his brother-in-law, Ernest Axworthy.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow., for visitation on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held in Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. Interment in North Winsloe Cemetery.
