VICTOR VON MAYDELL July 14, 1928 – May 13, 2009 A 37 year resident of Kamloops, Victor passed away peacefully in Kamloops at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Ingeborg, sons Arne (Cheryl) and Peter (Brigitte), daughter Catarina, and six grandchildren (Alex, Caleb, Lara, Rachel, Andrew, Aron). Victor was born in Riga, Latvia, and immigrated to Canada in 1952. A graduate of UBC in Civil Engineering, Victor was an outdoor enthusiast, and served many years as a leader with the 3rd Kamloops Scout troop. The family would like to thank the wonderfully supportive doctors, nurses and staff at Royal Inland Hospital and The Hamlets. Services were held at the Kamloops United Church on Tuesday, 19th May.
