William G. Gill passed away quietly Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Kamloops Hospice after complications with cancer. His passing was preceded by his wife Evelyn earlier this year in March 2009. Born in York Township, Ontario, September 16, 1933 and moved to BC later in the late 1940's, where he lived in Vancouver and finally moved to the North Thompson in 1981 where he worked for Barriere Auto Parts. He worked most of his life as a Mechanic always doing something with his hands, and also enjoyed his guitar and music. A generous quiet man who was always there to help others and will always be remembered by the wonderful things he built from scratch. He is survived by his three sons Ed, Rob and Dave, daughters-in-law Karen and Wanda, his grandchildren Ryan, Amanda, Nicole and Dustin, his recent great grandchildren Nicolas and Katie, brother Burt and sisters Marlene and Shirley. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Gill's home, #68-2401 Ord Road, Kamloops, BC, (Brock Estates), May 23, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
