Works, Lawrence Vincent – 53, Truro Heights passed away August 20, 2012. Born October 2, 1958 in Truro, he was a son of Helen (Bayers) Works and the late Charles Works. Lawrence worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Cobequid Fire Brigade for many years. He also coached minor hockey, T-ball, minor ball and was involved with Beavers. He is survived by wife, Sandra Joan (Angus) Works; daughter, Sarah (Peter) Reid, Belmont; son, Jason, Truro Heights; grandchildren, Alyshia, Tristan and Michael Reid, Austin Works; brothers, Darrell (Barb), Londonderry, Raymond (Carolyn), Truro Heights, Brent, Belmont; brother-in-law, Dale Powers, Bedford; sisters, Darlene (Winston) Spicer, Debert, Heather Works, Truro Heights, Rosalie Griffin, Londonderry; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by father, Charles Works; sisters, Marilyn Griffin and Myrna Powers. Visitation will be held this evening from 6-8 pm; funeral service on Friday, August 24 at 2:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Mr. Ross Weatherbee officiating. Interment in Robie Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
