Jennie was the 4th of 16 children born to George and Katie Filipchuk, on July 21, 1919, in Glendon, Alberta. In November 1940 she married Fred Harrison and they operated a store in Glendon. The fall of 1948 they and their three children moved to Vernon, B.C. where they lived for three years. The Harrisons started a logging business called Harrison Forest Products, 35 miles east of 70 Mile House at Sharpe Lake, so the family moved and lived there for 5 years. Thirteen years later she married Otis Gould and moved to Pinantan Lake, where she and Otis started a small community church. Otis and Jennie ministered to and made many close and long lasting friends at Pinantan. Three years after moving to Kamloops, Otis passed away and within a couple of years Jennie moved to the Shores in Kamloops where she loved the people and enjoyed the activities offered to the residents. Although Jennie had macular degeneration and lost most of her sight she loved to play bowling on Wii. Jennie had a deep love for people and she made many dear and lasting friends in her lifetime.
