April 1, 1928 - August 23, 2012. Passed peacefully away in the presence of family and friends at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, Jim Rideout of Holyrood, formerly of Fleur-de-Lys, NL, age 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Mary Rideout, step-mother Frances Rideout, brother Joseph, sister Genevieve and special friends Tom and Pat Furey. Left with fond and loving memories are: his brothers: Tom (Marie), Stan (Karen), Ron (Marjorie), Roy (Gwen); sisters: Kathleen (Joe Dempsey), Margaret Ann (Jerry Reeves), Angela (Doug McQuinn), Clo (Graham Dicks) and Shirley; and his partner Bertha Furey of Holyrood, NL and her family: Peggy (Sam Drover), Loretta (Bob Caines), Cathy (Melvin Haas), Judy (Max Haas), Bertha (Junior Kelly), Karen, Phil and Madonna Furey, and special Godchild Allison Kelly. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation in Hickey's Funeral Home, Holyrood on Saturday and Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood.
