Mrs. Eugénie Chabot, age 98, of Prince Albert, SK passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010. Prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 15 from Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church in Victoire. Mrs. Monique Krushelniski will officiate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16 from Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church by Father Millan Sajonas. Eugénie is survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and step-children. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1980; her parents Eloi and Marie (née Dumont) Duret; her brothers and sisters Eugene, Alphonse, Raoul, Willie, infant Raymond, Léonce, Clémence Loiselle, Jeanne Bujold, Eveline Bonneau, Sister Marie-Anna Duret of the Daughters of Providence, Léonie Tremblay, Sister Rose Duret of the Sisters of Charity/Grey Nuns and infant Jeanne; her step-children; as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was born on October 29, 1911 in Victoire, SK and was raised on the family farm in that district. She was employed at Mont St. Joseph Nursing Home from 1955-1964. Eugénie married George on August 24, 1964 and they resided in Montreal for 16 years. She returned to Prince Albert in 1980 after George’s death. Eugénie was a special “ma tante” that will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Interment will take place in the Victoire Cemetery. The family of the late Eugénie Chabot would like to thank Angie and staff of Kopera House, Dr. G. Surkan, Dr. M. Chrush and the 5th floor nurses at the Victoria Hospital for the excellent care and compassion given to our special “ma tante Eugénie”. Nieces and Nephews.
