Passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Monday, August 20th, 2012, Edna Catherine Ayers of Fortune, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents Stanley and Mary Sheppard; husband Harry, daughter Phyllis, brother Roland. Leaving to mourn: daughters Geraldine(Cecil Barnes), Donna Remo, Maureen(Boyd Keeping), son Derrick Ayers and Daphne; 6 grandchildren, 1 Special grandaughter Sherry Anstey, 7 great grandchildren; sister Lillian Saunders, sister-in-law Charlotte Sheppard. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends.Funeral service was conducted by Rev.Lochleigh Fiander on Thursday August 23 at 2pm from All Saints Anglican Church Fortune.Interment followed at All Saints Anglican Cemetery.Organist was Henrietta Pope.Pall Bearers were Derrick Ayers, Derrick Barnes, Matthew Ayers, Cecil Barnes, Darren Barnes, & Allen Sheppard. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.
