STEVENSON, DONALD DOUGLAS - 1929-2012 - Donald Stevenson of Riverview passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, August 27, 2012. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late John and Lydia Stevenson (Johnson). Donald served with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces from 1951-1979, he then worked for The Public Service Dept. and retired from #5 Supply Depot. Donald attended both the Holy Family and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Donald will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of his loving wife, Shirley (Verschoor), daughters, Patricia Stevenson of Halifax; Cynthia Enright of Moncton; sons, David (Linda) of Thunder Bay, ON; Jeffrey of Moncton; sisters, Margaret Fraughton, Freda Stevenson, both of Halifax, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, NB (869-2007). There will be no public visitation. The funeral service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating.
