MAZEROLLE, SR. RITA - (1920-2012) - The passing of Sister Rita, in religion, Sr. Marie-Rose-Alma, occurred on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur following a lengthy illness. She was 92 and in her 69th year of her religious life. Born February 5, 1920 in Pointe-Sapin, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julie (Daigle) Mazerolle. Besides her religious family, she is survived by two sisters: Esther Gaudet (Hector) and Marie; a sister-in-law, Alphonsine (late Irenée); many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by five sisters: Alice, Alma, Béatrice, Anna and Julia; four brothers: Mélème, Irenée, Joseph, and François.
Sister Rita will be resting at the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, 125 King Street, Moncton, Pavillon Notre-Dame d'Acadie Pavillion (Godfrey Lane entrance). Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until mass. Solemn Vespers will be held Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the maison-mère chapel on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Memramcook.
