RODGERSON, William Stewart “Bill” – 71, Yarmouth, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital with his wife at his side. Born July 5, 1941 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late James “Russell” and Mary “Celeste” (LeBlanc) Rodgerson. Billy worked as a cook aboard scallop fishing boats. He loved to draw, and he enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially baseball and boxing. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn F. (Laskie) Rodgerson, as well as by his son, Stewart William Rodgerson, Yarmouth, and siblings, Bob (Yvonne) Rodgerson, Russell (Pauline) Rodgerson, David (Polly) Rodgerson, all of Yarmouth; Don Rodgerson, Bedford; Sharon (Rodgerson) MacDonald, Brian (Cheryl) Rodgerson, Judy (Rodgerson) Walters (Jody), all of Yarmouth; step-son, Darren Fitzgerald; sisters-in-law, Heather Nickerson and Bernice VanAmburg. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers in infancy and one in his childhood. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation by request. A memorial service was held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 1 at H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Rev. Wayne Fevens officiated.
