Card of Thanks - Earl Johnston
We the family of the late Earl Johnston would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to our family and friends during our recent loss. To those who sent cards, memoriams, emails, flowers, food, visited the funeral home and attended the funeral. Special thanks to Dr. MacLean, Dr. Maharaja and Dr. Hewlett for the care provided to Earl. Also to staff of 3rd South Glace Bay Healthcare, Dialysis Unit of Cape Breton Regional, EHS, Ladies of Cape Care, and the staff of Pharmasave Glace Bay who all showed such kindness and care. To dear sister-in-law, Neila Johnston and brother-in-law, Jerry Budden and wife Judy, you were such a comfort to us, especially during Earl\'s hospitalization. To Pallbearers, Jerry Budden, Art Budden, Darren MacDonald, Billy Johnston, Kenny Johnston and Read Johnston, thank you. We thank Rev. Goodfellow for the kind words and the service, the organist and choir, the Royal Canadian Legion Honour Guard and the Ladies who provided the delicious lunch at the reception. A heartfelt thank you to his grandson, Darren MacDonald, for his touching eulogy. Thank you to Vina Johnson and staff of Patten Funeral Home for your true passion and professionalism during our loss. To Earl, family and friends were everything, not only was he a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather - we talked, he listened, we complained, he understood, we cried, he consoled, we laughed, he joined in - He was truly our best friend.
Ann, Dianne, Wally & Families
