HENDERSON, GLORIA - The death of Gloria Joan (Conley) Henderson, loving wife of the late Paul Henderson, occurred on Monday September 3, 2012 at Bobby’s Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Born 1942 in Deer Island, NB, she was the daughter of the late Carrol and Myrtle (Calder) Conley. Gloria’s passion and love were for her grandchildren and cooking. She devoted her life to raising her four children and later in life she took a large role in the upbringing of her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Danny and Tony Henderson of Saint John; daughter Cathy (Andrew) McKay of Quispamsis; brother Brian (Sheila) Conley of Rollingdam, NB; sister Barbara Luther of Portland, Maine; cherished grandchildren Kayla, Danielle, Amanda, Ryan, Sarah, Ryan, Chelsea, Kaitlyn and Madison; precious great-grandchildren Kallista, Christopher, Kyla and Liam; special feline friend Tiger. Besides her parents and husband Paul, she was predeceased by her son Troy. The family would like to thank the Staff, Volunteers and Doctors of Bobby’s Hospice for their care and kindness.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Calder’s Head Cemetery on Deer Island.
