Mah, Vivian Lee Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Viv, at the age of 67, beloved daughter of Pauline Mah, predeceased by her father Kim, (1990). Loving mother of Vera “Julie” Thompson (Murray), grandmother of Amanda, Cory and Brent. Cherished Great-grandmother of Jaydah and Aaliyah. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Vernon (Gladys) and James (Heather) by her sisters Rose Mak (Dick), Sandra Mah (Christine), by her brother in-law Dennis Waud, by her step-brother Jimmy Mah (Shirley), and step-sister Li Ma (Kong). She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Viv was born in Prince Albert, SK on January 4th, 1943. At the age of 17, she moved to Moose Jaw where she worked at the National Café, and for her parents at the Apex Café. She re-located to Saskatoon where she was employed at the lab in the Hospital. She returned to Moose Jaw for a few years before moving to Edmonton where she became a Ward Clerk. After a year, she came back to what would become her home in Moose Jaw. She worked diligently at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for 26 years as a Ward Clerk until her retirement in 2006. Viv was a hard and motivated worker. She was known for her generous and giving spirit and was very detailed in everything she did. She enjoyed her family, and was known as a favorite aunt. She was active and creative and will be missed by all who knew her. Friends are invited to attend a prayer service at PARKVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 474 Hochelaga St. W. on Sunday January 17th, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 18th, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064-3rd Ave. Moose Jaw at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations to the Moose Jaw Union Health Foundation are appreciated.
