Passed peacefully away at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on Saturday, September 8th, 2012, Gerald Sidney Allen Kennedy in his 91st year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 66 years, Dorothy nee Nichols, his children: Janice, Ellen (David) Walters, Peter (Heather), Colin (Erlene), & Robin (Diane), his grandchildren: Scott Kennedy ( Khalida), Jason Kennedy, Susan Whilten (Craig), Jennifer Power (Gerry), Jennifer Walters (Shamus), Kristin Kenny, & Amy Kennedy, his great grandchildren: Elden Kennedy, Mason Whilten, & Dominic Power, his brother: James (Catherine), his sister: Mrs. Faith Thorne, his brother in law: Stephen Rowsell. Gerald was predeceased by his parents: James & Ella Kennedy, sisters: Monica Rowsell, & Joan Rowe, brothers in law: William Rowe, & Arthur Thorne, also leaves to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, & other relatives, family & friends. The family will be receiving family and friends today, Monday, September 10th, 2012, from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm, at Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL. The funeral service will be held at St. Michaels & All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake, on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012 at 11:AM, with Rt. Rev. Lenard Whitten officiating, with the burial to follow at the Nichols Family Cemetery at Nicholsville.
