Brian Douglas Hollohan, of Calgary, Alta., passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, after a short, but brave battle with cancer.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Paula; and their two sons, Liam and Evan; his parents, Rev. Fr. Ron and Mary Hollohan; brother, Sean (Dee Dee Kelly); sisters, Sharon (John Larson) and Colleen (Peter Woloshyn); and many nieces and nephews.
Brian was formerly of Gardiner Mines, C.B. From Carleton University in Ottawa, Ont., he received his Masters and PhD in economics. Brian was a devoted family man. He enjoyed and instilled in his sons a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. As a family, they had many camping and hiking adventures, and enjoyed hours together in hockey arenas. Brian was blessed with numerous close friendships.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Calgary, Alta., on Jan. 18, 2010.
