At his home on Thursday, March 27, 2008, of Michael J. Cainey of Charlottetown, age 59 years. Beloved husband and best friend, of Leah Mayne Cainey. Michael is survived by his father, Redvers Cainey; by his son, Michael (Mila), and by his two special granddaughters, Anna and Olivia of North Carolina. He is also survived by his brother, Brian Cainey (Marilyn), Detroit; by his sister, Karen Cainey, Halifax; by his stepdaughter, Heather Burgess (Brad); by his step-grandchildren, Hunter, Logan and Allyson; by his mother-in-law, Margaret Mayne; by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jean Coburn, Joan Kennedy (David), Jim Mayne, Kay McIvor (John) and David Mayne. Michael is lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his mother, Beryl; his father-in-law, Herman Mayne and his brothers-in-law, George Mayne and David Coburn. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel, on Sunday, at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Summerfield United Church Cemetery.
