It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear wife, mother, and grandmother, Yvonne Anne Elliott (nee Burbine) age 70 on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lower Cove NS, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Landry) Burbine.
Yvonne was involved with the Ron Elliott Shows for 45 years that operated through Atlantic Canada, where she was known as "Mum" to all the carnival employees.
Yvonne will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ron Elliott, Amherst; sons, David (Kelly) Elliott and Scott (Barbara) Elliott; stepchildren, Patsy (Fred) Martin and Peggy O'Brien; daughter in law, Sherrie Elliott; grandchildren, Tricia, Christopher, Alanna, Elizabeth, Renee, Michelle, Jenna, Sam, Casey, Wren, and Oliver; five great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended families and a cousin, Mildred Brown, who was like a sister.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepson, Ronnie Brian Elliott; and brother, Austin Burbine.
A time of visitation for her family and friends will be held on Monday, January 18 and Tuesday, January 19, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). Interment will follow in the spring in the Amherst Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Memorial donations in Yvonne's memory may be made to the LA Animal Shelter or charity of your choice.
