ASHTON - Mr. Robert Joseph (Jr.), age 75 years, of Outlook, SK passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at Outlook Union Hospital. The funeral service was held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Eagles Hall in Swift Current, SK at 1:00 PM with Reverend Kevin Johnston officiating. The organist was Marlene Dolter and ushers were Anthony Sorensen, Alex Sorensen, Ian Vandergrift, and Krystal Emes. Pallbearers included Kent Hefferd, Brian Lisko, Grant Ashton, Randy Gane, Randy Emes and Glen Johnson. The interment service followed at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK. Joe is survived by his wife Diane of Outlook, SK; three stepdaughters Michellea Sorenson (Ken Anderson) of Pilot Butte, SK, Twila Vandergrift (Randy Emes) of Swift Current, SK and Tamara (Brian) Lisko of North Battleford, SK; six grandchildren, five sisters, three brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, two aunts and one uncle. He was predeceased by his parents Kathleen Ashton (1988), Robert Joseph (1997), sisters Susan (1938) and Linda (1948), five brothers-in-law and numerous aunts and uncles. Joe was born March 8, 1934. He lived in Beverly, Seaward Hill District. He married Diane September 26, 1986. Joe worked for a few farmers in the area before going to work for Saskatchewan Brewers in Swift Current. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. After retirement he moved to Ferguson Bay, SK and then to Outlook, SK where he lived until his passing.
