Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, with his family by his side, of Claude Joseph Doucette of Harper Road, age 80 years. Born at Harper Road on Oct. 11, 1931, he was the son of the late Howard and Catherine (nee Peters) Doucette. Lovingly remembered by his niece Diane (late Joe) McCue, with whom he resided. Dear brother to Leslie (Dorothy) of Guelph, Ont.; Leona (Don) Harris of Stratford; Doris (Joey) Thompson of Ottawa; Noreen (late Bill) Gaudet of Harper Road; James (Ann) of Tignish; and Hazel (John) Richard of Summerside. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters: Eleanor Giguere, Melissa MacPhee and twin sister Annie Sweeney. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Funeral on Wednesday afternoon Sept. 17, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 3 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment in the family plot in the Parish cemetery. If so desired, memorials to St. Simon and St. Jude Building Fund would be gratefully appreciated. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of funeral.
