We the family of the late John (Jackie) Oliver of New Waterford N.S. would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to friends and relatives for their expression of sympathy at this difficult time. To all who sent condolences, sympathy cards, Mass cards, food, flowers, charitable donations, and to those that visited and to all who came to be with us during this time our sincere appreciation for your kindness. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the ICU at Cape Breton Regional Hospital who looked after Jackie and helped our family thru this difficult time. To Father Huntley, the choir, the readers, the gift bearers, the pallbearers and honorary pallbearers and to the altar servers, thank you for the beautiful mass and grave side service. A special thank you to the ladies of St Leonard’s Parish Hall who provided the beautiful luncheon after the funeral. Our gratitude is also expressed to Kenny McGillivray and the staff of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Homes. Their compassion, professionalism and guidance during this very sad time will always be remembered.
