The death occurred suddenly at home on Friday Sept. 14, 2012 of Anita Chiasson, 156 Chaisson Road, Tignish aged 87 years. She was born in Tignish on August 28, 1925, the daughter of the late John and Yvonne (nee Dionne/Buote) Chiasson. She is survived by daughter Marjorie (Fred) McDermott, Long Island, New York and grandchildren Jimmy, Brandon and Bridget and great grandchildren Christopher Jr., Danny and Aiden. Dear sister to Omar, Tignish; Alfred, Hamilton, Ont.; Antoinette Remington, Maplewood Manor, Alberton; Lawrence, Quebec; Catherine Pitre, Saint John, N.B. and Imelda Chiasson, Montreal. She was predeceased by her parents John and Yvonne, sister Yvette, brothers Theophile and Romeo. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m and Thursday 9-10 a.m. Funeral will be held Thursday at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.
