Joseph (Jookie) MacKinnon
We, the family of the late Jookie MacKinnon, who passed away on Sept 1, 2012 wish to express our heartfelt thanks to relatives, friends and neighbours for their acts of kindness and support during our bereavement. Thank you to those who sent mass/sympathy cards, memorials, and those who made donations to numerous charities in Jookie's memory. Thank you to those who visited, attended the service, or travelled a long way to be with us. We extend a special thank you to Rev. Duncan Roach who delivered a Eulogy which touched the hearts of those who knew Jookie and opened the hearts of those who didn't. Thank you to the Calvin Church Choir for the beautiful renditions of the hymns, the organist, and thank you to the Calvin UCW for the beautiful lunch and reception. Thank you to VJ McGillivray, especially Kenny, for the professional and compassionate way the services were handled. A special thank you to Dr. Peter Littlejohn for his care and understanding of Jookie, to the nurses and staff of the 2nd floor and emergency department of the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital for the graciousness and care they showed Jookie in his short stay. Thank you to the pallbearers Joe, David, Stephen and Billy and readers Judy (a very special niece) and Lisa. Last but certainly not least all of Jookie's friends in town where he spent many happy days getting his pepsi, chicken and scratch tickets, we are very grateful for your support of our brother. Thank you to everyone who helped lesson our sorrow, your love, support and kindness will always be remembered.
