Passed away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Monday, September 17th, 2012 at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary Kennedy, of Bell Island, daughter Diana and infant son Gerald. Sadly missed by daughter Madonna (Chris); son Rivlyn (Loretta) and grandson Cameron. Also left are two daughters, two sons and their families, and many brothers, sisters and friends in Newfoundland and other parts of Canada. A special thank you to the nurses and attending physicians at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Madonna would like to extend a special thanks to Kathy for being there during dad’s hospitalization and passing, as well as the comfort and support received from other close friends during this difficult time. As per Gerry’s request there will be no viewing or service; and cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at the R.C. Cemetery, Lance Cove, Bell Island at 2 p.m. pm Friday, September 21st, 2012.

LOCKE, Daphne Elizabeth– of St. John's passed peacefully away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at St. Patrick's Mercy Home in her 77th year. Leaving to mourn three sons: Edward (Sharon), Wayne and Danny; two daughters: Gayle and Ruby (Angela); five grandchildren: Shawn (Lori), Stephen (Stephanie), Edward (Jennifer), Chad (Tia) and Ryan (Calie); also three great-grandchildren: Brady, Riley and Logan and special friend Tom Pynn. The family extends a special thank you to the Management and Staff 3 East and West, St. Patrick's Mercy Home. No Visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, September 22nd, 2012 from Caul’s Chapel at 11 a.m. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
