May 31st, 1930 – September 20th, 2012, age 82 years. Retired CN employee. Passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital with his family at his side. Leaving to mourn his wife Bertha; daughters: Pamela Lahey (Andre) and Lisa Vanderkwaak (David); sons: Gerry, Tony (Anna), Patrick (Janet), Leo (Jessica) and Craig (Marilyn); step-daughter Misty Murphy (Owen); grandchildren: Aprille and Emily Whelan, Seana Ryan (Will), Luke Ryan, Theresa Amezqua (Martin), Amanda Glynn, Sinead Ryan, Miriam, Abigail and Jeremy Dewar, Chevine and Margaret Ryan, Lucas and Colby Murphy; great-grandchildren: Trinity, Logan, Violet, Ximena and Julia; brothers: Philip (Maureen), Pat (Catherine); sisters: Sr. Norberta Ryan, Bride Maher, Anita Harvey, Mary Benedict (Eldon); sister-in-law Bernice Ryan (Paul). Also, a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends, here and in Florida. A sincere thank-you to Doctors and Nurses from 7th Floor East for your care and compassion. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday, September 22nd and 23rd from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 24th at Holy Trinity R. C. Church in Ferryland.
