Anna AuCoin

Born In: Haddonfield, New Jersey, United States

Passed in: United States
Passed on: September 20th, 2012

Anna Mae Aucoin, 85, of Grand Etang, Inverness Co. died Sept. 20, 2012 at the home of her daughter.
Born in Haddonfield, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Annie (Muise) LeBlanc.
She was a member of les Dames de Sainte-Anne and the senior citizens’ club, Nouveau Horizon. She enjoyed and cherished a good card game of 200. We’ll remember her for her hugs and squeezes, especially toward her grand and great-grandchildren. She found comfort in the simple joys in life, like knitting by her wood stove, talking to family and friends on the phone and writing in her daily journal. She was an extremely generous and compassionate lady, always caring for others. She would always put others first. Anna Mae had a warm and inviting personality. The door to her heart and her home were always open to friends, as well as strangers. You arrived a stranger and you left as a friend. Her home was the place for many meals and celebrations. She was able to live in her home until July 2012, for which we are grateful. She was a person of strong faith and she led by example.
The AuCoin family wishes to thank the palliative care and home support workers for their excellent and professional care during her illness. A special thanks to Dr. Paul Sonier for his great compassion and for his home visits, while our mom was sick at home.
She is survived by three sons, Paul (Mary), Moncton, N.B., Gaston (Marie Sophie), Cap Le Moine, Louis Joseph (Sandra), Cheticamp; four daughters, Josephine (Jim) Driscoll, East Bay, Jeanette Chiasson, Petit Etang, Louise Anne (Yvon) AuCoin, St. Joseph Du Moine; Sylvia, Sydney; two brothers, Patrick and John; four sisters, Hélène, Margaret, Marie and Rita; 12 grandchildren, Bobby, Kevin, Annette, Céleste, Sylvette, Raynald, Rémi, Marc, Natalie, Réné, Danielle and Justin; eight great-grandchldren, Avery, Hudson, Lauren, Emily, Ava, Owen, Amber and Elyse.
