LANDRY, ALICE M. – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Alice Marie (Galauchon) Landry, of Saint John, NB, wife of Marcel Landry, which occurred on Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 4, 1917 in Caraquet, NB, she was a daughter of the late John and Albina (Savoie) Galauchon. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and was involved with Children’s Aid for many years, also enjoyed cooking and playing crib. Besides her husband, Marcel, she is survived by her children, Marcella Smart (Rae) of Sask, Reg Landry of Saint John, John Landry (Peggy) of Baxters Corner, Robert Landry (Gail) of Saint John, Dennis Landry (Susan) of Willow Grove; grandchildren, Arlene, Rae Jr., Lisa, Brandon, Shari, John Jr., Jennifer, Nick, Jeffrey, Danielle and Allison; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brother Freddy.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm and Monday, September 24, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
