BROWN, DAVID - With sadness the family announce the passing of David Frederick Brown, loving husband of Hope (Walker) Brown, which occurred on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Embassy Hall, Shannex, Quispamsis. Born 1926 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Frederick and Charis (Price) Brown. David was employed with NBTel for 36 years in various positions including District Manager. David was a Founding and Charter Member of Forest Hills Baptist Church and was active on a number of boards and committees of the Atlantic Baptist Convention. He was a Mason and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Besides his wife Hope, Dave is survived by his son Paul (Linda) Brown of Fredericton; daughters Charis (Rick) Brown-Tobias of Toronto, ON and Beth (Dan) Brown Kirk of Moncton; brother William (Shirley) Brown of Saint John; grandchildren Nathan, Jeremy, Joshua, James, Janna, Taylor and Hilary and great grandchildren Ethan David, Parker and Izabella; cousins Carol, Joan, Judy and David and several nieces and nephews, including Andrea (Bill’s daughter). We will be forever grateful to all the staff at Embassy Hall for their extraordinary care and compassion toward our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, as well as toward we, his family. The Staff of Jubilee Hall continue to show great kindness and support to all of us. You will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road Saint John with visitation on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Forest Hills Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
