Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Thursday, September 20, 2012, Allan George Oliver of Burnt Point, age 89 years. Predeceased by parents Moses and Leah, brothers Charles, Jacob and Jesse, sister Mary. Left to celebrate his life and cherish his memory is his wife: Winnie; devoted children: Olga (Selby) Milley, Western Bay, Loretta (Arthur) Oates, Carbonear, Allan 'Junior' (Maureen), Burnt Point, Valerie (Weldon) Peddle, Mount Pearl, Cynthia Oliver, Burnt Point, Barry (Linda) and Cheryl (Todd) Morgan, both of St. John's; fourteen cherished grandchildren and eight treasured great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Saturday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment in the United Cemetery, Burnt Point.
