SMITH, RITA CHARLOTTE - The death of Rita Charlotte (Nelson) Smith of Saint John, NB wife of the late St. Clair Smith, occurred at Birch Lane, Loch Lomond Villa in Saint John on Saturday, September 22, 2012. She was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Gilson) Nelson. Survived by her nephew Paul Devlin and nieces Shirley Clancy, Dolores Raymond and Annette McLellan as well as great nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her sisters Margaret Devlin, Eileen Ellsworth and Dorothy Nelson.
Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965) with visiting on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception will take place on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 10:00am followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
