August 5th, 1922 - September 24th, 2012. Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Monday, September 24th, 2012, Mr. William Adams of Upper Island Cove, age 90 years. Predeceased by his wife Emily, his parents, Alfred and Isabella. Leaving to mourn are nine sons: Alfred (Evelyn), Harrison (Geneieve), Phil (Ruby), David (Jean), Clyde (Marlene), Gary (Corinne), Maurice (Betty), Wade (Bettyann), and Geoffrey; four daughters: Jean (Lewis Mercer, deceased), Dorothy (Harold Mercer, deceased), Gloria (Terry Smith), Karen (Brian Keough). 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; one brother George; two sisters: Naomi Coombs and Isabella Jewer, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Lynch's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay. Funeral service Thursday, Sept. 27th at 2 p.m. from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upper Island Cove. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Upper Island Cove. Visitation at Lynch’s Funeral Home, Tuesday, Sept. 25th, 2 p.m. - 9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26th, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27th, 10 am - 1:30 pm.
