SMART, WAYNE FREDERICK - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne Frederick Smart of Westfield, NB, husband of Trish (Seatter) Smart, announce his passing on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 14, 1958 in Woodstock, NB, he was a son of Arnold and Louise (Johnson) Smart. Wayne worked for NB Power for 31 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Trish; two children, Kimberly (Brad) and Nicholas (Meghan) and best buddy Hunter; his parents, Arnold and Louise of Woodstock; sister, Laurie Murray of Woodstock; niece, Morgan Murray of Sackville, NB; special aunt and uncle, Linda and Ed Elrick of St. Andrew’s, NB; and special brother, Dave. Wayne is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Len and Maggie Seatter; sister-in-laws, Yvonne, Jackie and families. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Walter and Olive Johnson and Jennie and Fred Smart.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at 1:30 PM from Westfield United Church. Interment in Loyalist Cemetery, Harding’s Point, NB.
