
King William Bannister
BANNISTER, KING WILLIAM - 91, of Hillside, passed away on September 27, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Hillside, he was a son of the late Zelotes and Laura (nee Steeves) Bannister. King was a member of the First Elgin Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters: Fern Bannister of Rusagonis, and Ellen Bannister of Charlottetown, PE; his son, Robert Bannister of Moncton; as well as by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, King was predeceased by his wife, Wilda Bannister (nee Murray), his daughter, Lois Shaffer; his son, Earl Bannister; his sisters: Vesta Beck and Laurine Ayer; and his brothers: Raymond Bannister and Murray Bannister.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, from where visitation will be held on Sunday September 30, 2012 from 6-9 pm; the funeral service will be held on Monday October 1, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Hawkesworth presiding at the First Elgin Baptist Church. Interment will be held in Hillside Cemetery. Donations to the Hillside Cemetery, the New Elgin Cemetery, the Gideon Bibles or the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated by the family.
