Passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 27th, 2012 at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, age 74 years. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Catherine Manning and brother Kevin. Left with fond and loving memories his devoted wife Andrea; daughter Julia (David Mercer), Calgary, AB; son Ian (Carol), Cork, Ireland; grandchildren Charlotte and Jude Mercer; Róisín and Saoirse Manning; brothers Bill (Margaret), Edmonton, AB and Doug (Sandra), St. John’s, NL; mother-in-law Mary Dunne and sister-in-law Florence Manning, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation from Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. with Vigil Service on Sunday at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 1st, 2012 at 10 a.m. from St. Paul’s Church, Newfoundland Drive, inurnment to follow at St. Francis of Assissi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
