DAYE, HAZEL “GERALDINE” - The family regretfully announces the passing of Hazel "Geraldine" Daye on September 29, 2012 at her home in Upper Kingsclear. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick on May 22, 1916, she was the daughter of the late William Harold and Hazel Robertson (Seely) Hayes. She was predeceased by her husband, Guy William Daye; sister, Doreen Woodley of Manotick, Ontario, and brother, R. Darrell Hayes of Lands End, Vancouver Island. She is survived by her daughter Margot Barker (Duke) and son Peter Daye, both of Upper Kingsclear; grandchildren, Rebecca Geneau and Tony Daye; three great grandchildren, Ethan, Brooke and Brody as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at Christ Church Cathedral on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm with The Very Rev. Keith Joyce officiating. Interment will take place in Saint John at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
