Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit, Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, of Helen Jean Lidstone of Brae, aged 80, wife of the late Ralph Neil Lidstone. Born on April 14, 1932, in Knutsford, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Eliza (Gay) Lidstone. Loving mother to Eileen Penny, Brampton, Ont.; Calvin (Debbie) and David (Cathy), all of Brae. Dear grandmother to Brenda, Jody, Justin, Adam (Marie), Jacqueline (Sandy), Bailey (Lindsay), Kody (Kadie), Devin (Katie) and great-grandchildren Alexis, Jaden, Ria, Seger and Bryce. Helen is survived by her brother Abbie (Charlotte) Lidstone and sister Greta (Keith) Paugh. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Tish, Evelyn, Bessie and Shirley Lidstone. Predeceased by her parents, husband, son-in-law Dave Penny, her niece Wendy Paugh, brothers: Howard, Keith, Preston, Billy and James; sisters: Isabel (Leonard) MacAusland, Etta Mae (Albert) Wallace and Birtie. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in Brae United Church Cemetery. In memory of Helen, memorials to Brae United Church Cemetery or the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital would be appreciated.
